Rotel Intros Two New Integrated Amplifiers, CD Player

CD14_silver-0816Rotel has announced the 14 Series that includes a CD Player and two integrated amplifiers.

The A14 is one of the two integrated amplifiers that’s rated at 80 watts per channel RMS into 8 ohms, both channels driven. The A14 uses a toroidal transformer plus slit-foil capacitors to handle difficult speaker loads and dynamic signal peaks. It has been designed to accommodate both analog and digital source components and it includes an on-board AKM 32 bit/768kHz DAC. Features include integrated Bluetooth with aptX, PC-USB with DSD support, signal sensing power control and universal in/out capability including multiple analog (two aux, CD, tuner, phono) and digital (two coax, two optical, PC-USB (PCM 32 bit/384 kHz) with DSD (1X/2X), Apple iOS USB, Bluetooth aptX) ports. It will list for $1299.

The A12 integrated amplifier looks the same as the A14 but has its output power rated at 60 watts per channel RMS into 8 ohms. The power supply also uses toroidal transformers and it also has been designed to accommodate both analog and digital source components and it includes an on-board AKM 32 bit/768kHz DAC. It will list for $899.

Finally, Rotel also debuted their CD14 CD player that claims ripple-free voltage and current to both digital and analog circuits. It uses a Wolfson 24 bit / 192 kHz DAC, provides disc metadata via an on-board display and has both a coaxial digital and analog output. It will list for $599.
