rAVe Scoop: Kramer Announces VP-81SID HDMI and DVI Switcher
The new Kramer VP-81SID is an HDCP-compliant 8×1 digital switcher for twisted pair, DVI and HDMI signals. It offers:
- Eight twisted pair inputs (from step-in command modules)
- One DVI with unbalanced stereo audio on a 3.5-millimeter mini jack
- One HDMI with unbalanced stereo audio on a 3.5-millimeter mini jack
- Outputs one twisted pair or one HDMI (selectable) with balanced stereo in a terminal block connector
- Unbalanced stereo on two RCA connectors and S/PDIF on an RCA connector
- Ability to drive a signal output up to 50 meters (164 feet) at 1080p on shielded BC-DGKat623 cable
- Control via RS232, RS485, contact closure, Ethernet or IR
