Last year at this time Justin Kennington, the SDVoE Alliance‘s President, was making ISE Show preparation in hopes that he’d have enough 10Gig AV-over-IP gear to show in his stand this year, he’s got over 30 Alliance members and over 60 products that all send AV over a 10Gig IP network and a new switch, from NETGEAR that’s specifically designed to handle up to 96 inputs or outputs – a veritable virtual (or network-based) matrix switch. The SDVoE Alliance will be in Hall 3 in stand B150 with two live demos – one will be a 1Gig vs 10Gig shoot-out and the other will be a technology demo with AV running over an IP network where the AV content has zero effect on the IT content. In addition, they’ll hold over 10 educational classes (including some with AVIXA CTS RUs) at ISE. Justin explained all this as well as his vision for the future of AV-over-IP on today’s podcast!
