Propared to Exhibit at InfoComm’s Inaugural Innovation Showcase

phpc0OUE8PMOrlando, FL, June 16 – Brooklyn-based event-tech startup Propared is excited to present its flagship product as part of InfoComm’s inaugural Innovation Showcase. The company will be exhibiting its unique, cloud-based project management platform from Wednesday, June 17-Friday, June 19 at booth #5585s. This will be first time the company is exhibiting at InfoComm, the largest annual AV conference worldwide.

Propared finally brings to the market an application that mirrors the workflow of live event professionals. Production managers, AV companies, designers, and event planners in search of the perfect solution for manag ing people, time, and communication will find it here. With more than two decades of on-site experience, Propared’s team has worked tirelessly with some of the world’s leading software developers to present the most clean, user-friendly, and robust solution available.

Though the company was founded in 2013, the seed for Propared was first planted several years earlier. Says CEO Ryan Kirk, “Propared was born out of a very real need. As managers running a production company (Tinc Productions), we had to find a software solution that would allow our small team to execute events seamlessly, while still continuing to grow our business.” After exploring dozens of options, Ryan and Tinc/Propared co-founder, Melissa Johnston came to a striking conclusion: all of the available software solutions were designed for traditional corporate project management, which differs sharply from managing in live events. So they decided to design their own.

Their original pro totype, implemented at Tinc Productions in 2012, allowed the pair to execute 400 events, generating $2.1 million in revenue, and saving the company $120k in expenses and overhead from the previous year. With proof-of-concept in hand, Ryan and Melissa enlisted the help of Derek Knoderer and the trio formed Propared six months later to fully develop a proprietary solution.

Propared began its development in early 2014 and launched its Alpha program in March of that year. An extensive list of invited testing partners, representing leading production management firms across the industry came aboard to provide feedback and direction. The company continued to develop its feature set and improve overall performance through the summer, releasing a Beta version of its application in June and beginning to support its first paying users. In November, the company transitioned out of Beta and began offering Propared to the general public. Propared in Previews, as it currently exists, r epresents the company’s commitment to agile development and it continues to refine and perfect its application. “Our process is driven by the ongoing feedback from our actual users,” says Derek Knoderer, Propared’s Chief Product Officer. “Because of our users’ overwhelming support and willingness to share their thoughts, we are able to, in real time, address the issues that are most critical to making their work easier. It’s taking the same collaborative process of working on a show together, applied in new and exciting ways, ultimately resulting in better design.”

Members of the Propared team will be demo-ing the application on demand at Booth #5585s in the Innovation Showcase and presenting on the Innovation Showcase Stage WednesdayFriday at 11:10 am. For users interested in purchasing the product, Propared application is available as a subscription-based service, offering a host of plans designed to suit the needs of any size company or freelance team. All plans come with a 30-day free trial with full access to all of the application’s features.
