Presentation Media Corporation’s Inventory Goes to Auction This Week

presentation-media-0117FOX Commercial Auctions has told rAVe that the complete AV rental inventory of Jessup, Maryland-based Presentation Media Corporation, goes up for auction this month and the inventory includes some 100+ LCD monitors, dozens of rental speakers and tripod stands, Christie, NEC, Panasonic and EIKI projectors and a plethora of screens rental screens.

If you’re in the rental market, this will be a great way to augment your inventory. In addition, Presentation Media also had some fixed-install inventory and FOX says they will be selling that as well. You can see the entire inventory list here as of this week.

The way this auction will work is simple. Starting 10 a.m. (EST) on Jan. 3, FOX will start accepting online bids for whatever gear you may want — or you can bid to buy the entire inventory. The action will close on Jan. 17 and, if you are in the area of Jessup, Md., you can actually go inspect the inventory yourself on Jan. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In addition to hundreds of AV products, the auction also includes box trucks, vans, Genie lifts, pallet jacks and more than 50 AV carts for rental applications.

Gary Kayye, founder of rAVe Publications, is one of the most prominent personalities in the audiovisual industry. He has been a contributor to WIRED magazine and a technical advisor and columnist for Sound & Communications magazine as well as an opinionated columnist for rAVe [Publications] since 2003. Prior to AMX, Gary spent nine years at Extron Electronics (, rising to the position of vice president of sales and marketing.
