Oblong Industries takes the stage at ISE 2016 to talk about AV+IT and the Future of Work

oblong-logoLos Angeles, CA (December 14, 2015) — The Unified Communications Theatre at Integrated Systems Europe will again play host to industry thought-leader Oblong Industries. At the 2016 show (9-12 Feb, Amsterdam RAI) visiting delegates will have the opportunity to hear the company’s thoughts and vision on issues at the cutting edge of the audio-visual sector.

On Tuesday, 9 February at 12:00-12:30pm Mike Brown, Global VP Sales, will be drawing on his twenty years’ of industry experience in his to talk on ‘AV+IT: Convergence in the Workplace.’ As AV and IT converge with increasing frequency, a platform that more seamlessly links multiple locations, devices, content, screens, and people becomes essential. Mike will highlight how companies can make the most of these opportunities and benefit from the locational flexibility, network centricity and scalability presented by this emerging trend.

On Wednesday, 10 February, 14.30-15.00 – ‘Why It’s Time to Rethink the Workplace.’ Millennials outnumber all other cohorts in the workforce today, according to Wainhouse Research. This “app generation” needs the right tools for true teamwork and global visual collaboration to maximize productivity, innovation and engagement. This session provides insight into how to transform a workforce into an interactive collaborative team; the talk will highlight the importance of meeting the needs of today’s workers who are increasingly mobile (and BYOD) in a business environment that is increasingly complex. The speaker is Mary Ann de Lares Norris, COO at Oblong Industries, who will be speaking at ISE fresh from her appearance at Dublin’s Web Summit.

On Thursday, 11th February, 15.30-16.00 – Steve Smith, UK Sales Director at Oblong Industries talks ‘Mission Crucial: Real-time situational awareness for distributed team collaboration’. With increasing locational diversity, companies are looking for new and inspiring ways to unite teams dispersed across geographies and devices. Steve Smith, a respected collaboration technology professional, will discuss the paradigm shift in the way multi-national companies are collaborating across locations and why it is vital that they take action to engage with immersive workspace solutions to stay ahead of the curve.
