NSCA Releases 2015 Guide to State Licensing for Contractors

nsca-licensing-0215The National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) has announced its 2015 Guide to State Licensing. The report provides the commercial electronic systems industry with a reference guide of state laws governing the installation of low-voltage systems.

The 2015 Guide to State Licensing offers an overview of licensing requirements and state code for each U.S. state. The research presented reflects changes in state and administrative statutes through December 2014.

For each state, the 2015 Guide to State Licensing covers:

  • Alarm system requirements
  • Electrical contractor/electrician requirements
  • Low-voltage requirements
  • Approved reciprocal states
  • License types and associated fees
  • Contact information for licensing

The 2015 Guide to State Licensing is a valuable tool that puts licensing requirements at integrators’ fingertips. The guide also offers a one-page quick reference sheet that outlines requirements for electrical/contractor, low-voltage, or alarm/security system work in each state.
