NSCA Announces Speakers for 2015 BLC

liz-wiseman-1014NSCA announced this week that Liz Wiseman, leadership educator and Wall Street Journal best-selling author, will keynote NSCA’s 2015 Business & Leadership Conference (BLC). She will speak about the difference between leaders who are diminishers and those who are multipliers – and how many of today’s leaders are wasting their most vital resources by being diminishers.

Wiseman has taught leadership to executives around the world. She has also conducted significant research in leadership and collective intelligence, and writes for Harvard Business Review. She is the author of Multipliers: How the Best Leaders Make Everyone Smarter and The Multiplier Effect: Tapping the Genius Inside Our Schools. Her third book, Rookie Smarts, was just released.

Wiseman’s keynote will walk attendees through the five disciplines that distinguish multipliers from diminishers, and provide practical tips to lead like a multiplier so integrators can tap into the intelligence that exists inside their organizations.

Other BLC 2015 speakers include:

  • Edgar Papke, author of True Alignment: Gain insight into a groundbreaking approach to how companies and teams align the four elements of business to achieve higher performance levels.
  • Mike Abrashoff, author of It’s Your Ship: Abrashoff took command of the USS Benfold when its performance ranked at the bottom of the Pacific Fleet. Learn how Abrashoff led the ship’s remarkable turnaround (and realized that his own leadership style had to change).
  • Joe Calloway, author of Be the Best at What Matters Most: Regardless of your company’s size, you can use the same ways of thinking that enable companies like Apple, Zappos, and Southwest Airlines to sustain extraordinary success.
