NSCA 2015 Compensation and Benefits Report Released

nsca-15-0115The National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) is excited to announce its 2015 Compensation & Benefits Report, based on data gathered from systems integrators across the country.

Now in its fifth iteration, the report tracks and benchmarks compensation and benefits data for a variety of key positions within the industry, including technical and administrative roles. Systems integration firms of all sizes participated in a survey that collected information on company background, staffing levels, employee benefits, compensation and sales forces. This survey data was used to develop the 2015 Compensation & Benefits Report.

The report indicates positive signs of growth, with the median number of full-time staff continuing to increase. In 2010, survey respondents reported a median number of 21 full-time staff; the 2015 report indicates a median number of 23 full-time staff. The largest concentration of full-time staff is still found in technical job categories (installers, electronic systems technicians, programmers, engineers, etc.). Staffing levels are predicted to stay at this level, with most respondents reporting no change in their staff numbers. Nearly 37 percent of survey respondents indicated that they would be increasing staff size this year.

Revenue trends also seem to be generally positive, with nearly 64 percent of respondents expecting revenue to increase from 2013 to 2014. The net change in revenue is expected to be a median gain of 7.1 percent.

The 2015 Compensation & Benefits Report also covers:

  • Labor bargaining unit (LBU) staff
  • Employee benefits, with health insurance being the most popular benefit
  • Key positions and salaries, including bonuses and commission
  • A breakdown of salaries based on position, location, and company size
