New EMBRACE Microphones from Point Source Audio Promise €œStaying Power

PSA_logoPETALUMA, Calif. – April 14, 2016 – Point Source Audio® (PSA) will showcase EMBRACE Microphones, its newest addition to its collection of award-winning miniature mics at the InfoComm 2016 convention in Las Vegas (booth #C10820.)

Each EMBRACE Microphone is unique because you can bend, trim and shape the Earmounts for a precise fit to any ear. The bottom end of the finished microphone tucks snuggly into the nook behind the earlobe affording it tremendous staying power regardless of head or body movement. InfoComm attendees can learn how to build their own custom-fit microphone in 3 simple steps and in mere seconds replacing the laborious and unsafe method of traditional makeshift ear rigs that can take anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes per mic.

“Earmounting lavaliers for actors are commonly practiced, but there has never been a professional solution until now,” said PSA president James Lamb. The EMBRACE microphones are desirable because they’re small enough for concealing, yet regardless of head movement, the mic placement stays consistent to the mouth.”

The patent-pending EMBRACE Earmount is paired with the company’s award-winning microphone technology to allow anyone to master the art of mic’ing when there are stringent requirements for concealing the microphone such as in theatre, broadcast, and other live event productions. After trying the EMBRACE microphones, Ziggy Tomcich, Assistant Head of Department of the San Francisco Opera Sound/Media Department shared his enthusiasm: “Finally, microphone ear-loops that stay on, are super comfortable, and fast to deploy.” He explained further saying: “Dressing ear-loop microphone cables used to take us hours involving expensive sharp tools that always bloody the fingers. Now with the Point Source ear-loops, it takes mere seconds.”€

Every EMBRACE Microphone package comes complete with microphone and a left and right Earmount in a choice of beige, brown or black color for matching hair and skin color. For extreme camouflaging, EMBRACE Microphones also accept theatrical color markers of almost any color.

“Audio engineers and sound designers around the world have used Point Source Audio microphones to create amazing musical productions from Sweeney Todd at the San Francisco Opera to Chicago now touring throughout the UK,” said Lamb. “We developed the EMBRACE microphones to complement our line of performance mics and bring practical solutions to the theatre and broadcast markets.”

Point Source Audio’s EMBRACE Microphones will be demonstrated for attendees of InfoComm 2016 (booth #C10820) in Las Vegas from June 8-10. EMBRACE is now shipping worldwide and available at a number of Point Source Audio authorized resellers listed on their website.
