Modulo Pi Will Add a Live Mixer Function to Its Media Servers at ISE 2019

At ISE 2019, Modulo Pi will announce new versions of its media servers, the Modulo Player and Modulo Kinetic, which embed a real-time low-latency live mixer. Designed to create visual experiences within a variety of applications, the company says these are the world’s first media servers with an embedded live mixer.

Modulo Player is an entry-level media server meant for everyday projects. Integrated with XMAP for 2D warping, playlist management and embedded show control capabilities, Modulo Player is marketed as the simple server.

Designed for more advanced shows, Modulo Kinetic includes real-time 3D, interactivity and tracking. This high-end media server is integrated with a 3D engine for show design and visualization, non-linear real-time timelines, nodal programming as well as advanced show control and tracking capabilities. Modulo Kinetic can be used across the complete workflow, including study, simulation, encoding, playback and show control.

The embedded mixer allows a live preview of sources within the interface and comes with other advanced features like the ability to select a workspace area and turn it into a source or a Quickset function for layer management. To save time multiple users can work simultaneously on the media server and mixer applications. GPU-based, Modulo Pi’s systems also integrate input boards, including low-latency FLEX modules by Deltacast.

The new live mixer will be also available for the Modulo Player and Modulo Kinetic units already in the field through a software upgrade.

Here are all the specs.
