My InfoComm14 So Far

Infocomm14So I have to say that InfoComm14 has been much different so far than my past InfoComm shows.

I came in on Sunday and reported to my booth to be assigned some set-up duties. I actually hung an interactive whiteboard and interactive short-throw projector in the booth with minimal injury to myself (a huge victory) so if you stop by I’ll show you my handy work.

We had a team dinner to rally for the show that night and I got to reconnect with all my counterparts on both the screen and metal sides of our business.

Then Monday we had an all day sales and product meeting to discuss progress on the year, initiatives, and prototypes of new products that we may or may not be giving sneak peaks of under NDA to some preferred dealers for their opinions.

Monday night I had a great dinner with a combination of clients, consultants, other manufacturer’s reps who I am happy to all call friends at this point.

Today I’m gearing up for some education, a podcast with rAVe’s own Joel Rollins, and then a booth tour tonight to get my orientation and assignments for the next 3 days of listening to attendees and finding out how I may be able to solve their AV ills.

All this plus my search for convergence on the floor. It will be a busy week for sure.

Stay tuned for my thoughts on the happenings here, especially as they pertain to AV/IT and the Microsoft hype. (I’m sure that will draw some more controversy).

If you’re at #InfoComm14 come by and say “Hi”. I’d love to meet you. Tweet me at @AVPhenom to connect or come by the Chief Booth C6830 W, TH, F.
