InfoComm: [VIDEO] Everything InfoComm, IMCCA and UCC
By David Danto
IMCCA
Before we all head out to this year’s InfoComm 2015 in Orlando, it probably won’t hurt to take a look at a little video I recorded on behalf of IMCCA. (The IMCCA has been hard at work with InfoComm to present all things unified communications and collaboration at the UCC Solutions Summit — a part of the June show.) For this video, I was joined by Jules Trono, of Compass Business Solutions; David Maldow of Let’s Do Video; and Simon Dudley, of Excession Events (formerly of Lifesize and Polycom). We fired up our respective videoconferencing systems and hit the record button, chatting about InfoComm 2015, unified communications, huddle rooms, interactive whiteboards and a whole lot more. There are plenty of quotable assertions and insights in the video. I won’t go into all the details here, but it’s probably safe to say Simon won’t be working for a certain large software provider anytime soon.
In addition, if you watch the video, you’ll be able to match faces with names. Each of us will be involved in InfoComm 2015 in Orlando:
- Simon will be part of Future Trends on Tuesday.
- David M. will be on the UCC Solutions Summit Lunch-and-Learn panel on Thursday.
- Jules will be part of a special free (for IMCCA end users) Thursday morning breakfast seminar, “How to Prepare for the Changing Workplace,” in room 307D.
- And I’ll be a panelist on a couple of UCC sessions, including at the Tuesday, full-day UCC workshop and the Wednesday course “The Merger of AV and IT (Part 1) –How Has the Conference Room Changed?” I will also moderate Wednesday’s “Workspaces of Tomorrow” and the Thursday Lunch and Learn.
Even if you’re not going to InfoComm, our little online chat offers many of our insights about trends in UCC and pro AV in general. Check it out:
