One of my wow moments of InfoComm 2013 was checking out two amazing products, which in my opinion are game changers in each of each of their specific markets. Spending time with QSC and Vidyo, I realized that both have developed completely new platforms in software, elevating their products to a completely different level!

QSC booth (443) is showing off its Network Integrated System Platform, which provides amazing, scalable, rich sounding audio, all running on an Intel Quad Core system architecture. What an audio system with out DSP? QSC has developed everything in software, which provides the ability to scale their systems to fit in areas such as stadiums and arenas, attractions and theme parks, performing arts venues, transportation hubs, legislative and judicial chambers, hotels and casinos, houses of worship, as well as corporate campuses. Concerned about features like automatic echo cancelation or teleconferencing? It’s all in the software, which again provides greater flexibility and scalability! For more information, check out the QSC website.

Vidyo booth (1581) is cornering the market with its application-based HD video conferencing systems. What’s new you ask? There are so many variations and platforms within the portolio of video conferencing systems, Vidyo took advantage of computing power, and developed some serious software. Just looking at the end-point products available they have five very powerful platforms! This is just a quick snapshot: VidyoMobile, VidyoDesktop, Vidyo Executive Desktop, VidyoDesktop, VidyoRoom, VidyoConferencing and finally VidyoPanorama. So if you want to take the plunge into the world of a completely scalable video conferencing system check out Vidyo! More information can be found at the company’s website here.
