Best New Technology: 4K (4096×2160 or 3840×2160)
This award is typically given to a technology — not a product. Last year, it was HDBaseT, for example. Although 3D was all the rage a few years ago at InfoComm and turned out to be all hype, 4K looks to be the real deal. When you see large screen imaging (especially displays at 90″ or larger) you see a noticeable difference in imaging at 4K resolution vs typical 2K (1920 x 1080). The BEST 4K display at InfoComm was ABSOLUTELY Christie’s clock demo using their new D4K3560.
