CEDIA is committed to implementing practices and providing education in pursuit of environmental responsibility, as well as supporting members in their sustainability-oriented efforts. The Sustainable Lifestyles Action Team, a core component of CEDIA’s Technology Council, works year-round to drive programs that support and encourage these practices.

Sustainable Lifestyles initiatives at CEDIA EXPO include:

• Sustainable Lifestyles Awards - Highlighting standouts in the Business Practices and Product Innovation categories
  
• Sustainable Lifestyles Educational Seminars - Focusing on business model, design, and installation of energy management systems (see pages 23, 28, & 29 of the virtual registration brochure)

At CEDIA EXPO 2010, the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) will offer recycling, Habitat for Humanity donations from exhibit materials, food bank donations, composting, water cooler and pitcher usage, and eco-friendly facility supplies. CEDIA EXPO has once again partnered with Map Your Show to offer attendees a wide array of planning tools for the show. Visit www.cedia.org/mapyourshow2010 and click on the My Show Planner icon to launch the 2010 floor plan. Once you’ve created your login, use the intuitive profile wizard to quickly locate products of interest and add those exhibitors to you’re my Show Agenda. Or click on the Featured Exhibitor link to view product descriptions, pictures, or even videos of what some exhibitors will be bringing to the show. Once your agenda is completed, print out your list of exhibitors as well as your location map and bring it with you to the show. CEDIA is working with Core-Apps – the official CEDIA vendor – to present CEDIA EXPO 2010 attendees and exhibitors with the exciting new mobile application “Follow Me.” This app is designed to enhance the tradeshow experience and provide valuable show information on every smartphone. The Follow Me app offers several unique features, including an interactive show schedule, floor maps with mapping to booths, session schedules with the ability to rate the session, event schedules, social media interaction, and the ability to download e-brochures from the exhibitors.

CEDIA’s Electronic Lifestyles® Awards competition will feature an all-new Attendees’ Choice Award in 2010. The Attendees’ Choice category was created to give CEDIA EXPO ESC attendees the opportunity to voice their opinion and vote for their favorite product at the show.

Manufacturers may submit their product(s) for consideration until Friday, July 30, 2010. Voting will take place onsite at CEDIA EXPO via an online voting system. Individuals will be able to cast their vote from any computer at www.cedia.org/attendeeschoice2010. The voting system goes live Thursday, September 23 at 10:00 a.m. when the tradeshow floor opens.

Only CEDIA EXPO ESC attendees will be able to cast a vote for their favorite product. The winner will be announced on Saturday, September 25 at the CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles® Banquet.
