rAVe is intended to be a free resource to insiders in the audiovisual industry. From the beginning, the goals were not to sell more copies, or even advertising, but to give AV insiders what they needed and had asked for: help the AV salesperson sell more products (through knowledge), the systems designer better understand the technology and components used in their systems, help the installer simplify systems integration, the dealer make more money, and the manufacturer make simpler, better products. We believe by publishing the information our readers really need, rAVe "sells" itself.

To prove an ROI in rAVe, all you have to do is call ANY AV dealer, AV consultant or AV manufacturer and tell them to tell you who their top two publications are that they read - rAVe will be one of them. Everyone reads rAVe. Even End-users read it. Our fastest growing segment of subscribers recently has been end-users. They want the knowledge too!
rAVe's sponsors allow the publication to remain free to all AV insiders - their sponsorship funds it. This is not the same as advertising in other industry publications. We do not offer circulation reports or subscriber breakdowns - that's way too expensive to track or guarantee - and they're not accurate anyway. Like we said above - call your customers and see if they read it. They do - that's ROI. And, because we only have a limited number of sponsor spaces for both rAVe ProAV edition and rAVe HomeAV edition all sponsors are guaranteed that no competing company can be a sponsor at the same time. In fact, we have a waiting list for most sponsor product categories anyway - for example, projectors, flat-screens, control systems, signal processing and cabling categories all have waiting lists for sponsorship.
