IHSE USA to introduce the Draco tera enterprise 576 KVM matrix switch at NAB 2015

phpyyQFMTAMCranbury, New Jersey – April 5, 2015- IHSE USA, LLC, a leading provider of advanced HD-KVM products for switching and extending keyboard, video and mouse (KVM) signals now expands the Draco tera enterprise series with the new 576 port matrix switch for KVM and SDI formats. The Draco tera enterprise series is IHSE USA’s flagship HD-KVM switching solution for large KVM systems focused toward broadcasters, mobile production, cable, military, government and corporate facilities. With field proven performance and ultra-fast switch processing, the 576 combines large KVM switching with high speed crosspoint technology in a cost-effective package.

The 576 Draco tera is the perfect high performance, modular enterprise-sized matrix system for complete signal distribution of high definition video, audio, and data over twisted-pair copper, multi-mode fiber, or singlemode fiber. Each 576 frame can be configured as either a bi-directional HD-KVM switch for video and data or as a high definition video routing switcher for DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, and VGA. Other high definition video signals such as HD-SDI, 3G-SDI and USB 3.0 are supported with the optional UNI-IO high speed I/O cards. Incorporating best-of-breed technology, the Draco tera offers tremendous scalability with cost effective features including support for Ultra High Definition up to 4K at 3840 x 2160 resolutions.

Using IHSE’s exclusive Flex-Port technology, each matrix port can be user configured as an input or an output. Systems are scalable from one computer connected to multiple workstations or with multiple computers managed by a single workstation console. The 576 Draco tera is based on a non-blocking switch technology allowing full access and sharing of every port. Each front-load plug-in I/O card can handle up to 8 ports making it easy to configure systems in either square or rectangular I/O sizes.

The 576 Draco tera enterprise 25RU chassis supports full redundant power and hot swappable modules for full service and field upgrades without interrupting signal flow. Additionally, the 576 supports dual controller cards. With the advanced control interface, operators have the option to manage switching through an OSD (on screen display), a browser-based Java™ tool, or an RS-232 serial interface. The frame can also be controlled via any third party external control system with the available API protocol design package.

Handling long distance signal connections is a simple operation. As each Draco extender is connected, and power applied, the module will automatically negotiate an ID port which will be stored in the switch processor control module. Once this process is completed, the Draco extender will retain the port ID to the system even if the module is moved to another physical cable connection. In addition, extender definitions automatically determine the device ports to ensure source signals such as USB 2.0 High Speed, Dual Head Video, and audio are all switched synchronously.

“IHSE USA’s new 576 port matrix is the perfect solution for combining traditional KVM and next generation 4K in a single frame system,” said Dan Holland, Marketing Manager for IHSE USA. “With the 576 we’ve now filled the void where reliable enterprise-level KVM switch systems were once missing.”
