Gefen and Barco Partner to Sell More Overture Control via Gefen’s AV-over-IP Line
Nortek Security & Control LLC (NSC) today announced a new alignment between Gefen, its signal management brand, and Barco’s enterprise AV control and monitoring software, Overture, which preloads drivers for the entire Gefen AV-over-IP into the Overture platform’s interface.
The Gefen AV-over-IP solutions take HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, VGA and audio and put those signals on a 1G or 10G IP network. Barco Overture can, when used with the Gefen EXT-CU-LAN Matrix Controller, communicate with each end-point (encoders and decoders) without having to connect directly to them — all you do is use Overture to address the Matrix Controller rather than each decoder and encoder separately.
