Extron Debuts Cool In-Ceiling Subwoofer Dubbed the SoundField SF 10C SUB
Extron just announced a very unique way to add a subwoofer to a meeting room, boardroom or classroom in the form of the SF 10C SUB, an in-ceiling subwoofer that complements the Extron range of ceiling and pendant speakers. A novel suspended-by-wire mounting design completely isolates the subwoofer from the ceiling grid. A 10-inch driver within a fourth order bandpass, plenum-rated enclosure, delivers powerful, room-filling bass.
Featuring a 10″ driver with 800 watts of continuous program power handling capability, the SF 10C SUB, with its 4th order bandpass design and rigid composite enclosure, works with ceiling speakers to dramatically improve the system bass response, extending the low frequency range down to 25 Hz. The UL 2043 rating allows discreet placement in the plenum space, where the suspended-by-wire mounting design completely isolates the subwoofer from the ceiling grid.
All the details on the SF 10C SUB are here.
