Enterprise Connect 2019 Spotlights Women in Communications with New Initiatives & Powerful Speaker Lineup

SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 26, 2019 — Enterprise Connect, the leading conference and exhibition for enterprise communications and collaboration, today highlights new additions to this year’s programming that encourages productive, collaborative, and inspiring conversation around the importance of creating opportunity for women in the communications industry. In addition to a keynote lineup comprised of more than half women headliners, the 2019 event will offer insightful panels, valuable networking, and important conversations on the need to work toward a more inclusive industry.

Highlights for the 2019 event include:

Women in Communications Luncheon – Monday, March 18, Noon – 1 PM
The first-annual Women in Communications Luncheon will spotlight the common issues women as professionals face in the technology industry. A panel of IT professionals will share their experiences and will offer insight into how women can help one another advance in IT-related fields. This luncheon will provide an opportunity for discussion and networking, giving attendees valuable tips on navigating workplace situations, advocating for equal pay and career opportunities, and achieving work/life balance.

Women in Communications Networking Reception – March 18, 7 – 8 PM
Attendees can enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while networking with other top women business leaders in the enterprise communications industry. This lively reception will celebrate the significant advancements and accomplishments women in communications are making today, while inspiring and encouraging others to break boundaries and become trailblazers.

Women in Communications: Challenges and Opportunities – March 19, 1:10 – 2 PM
In this theater session, a panel of executives will share lessons learned while navigating their careers in a male-dominated industry. Each panelist will provide insight into the challenges and roadblocks they’ve faced in their careers and will offer advice on how to achieve success. Attendees will gain real-life perspective from key women in the industry and will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of how to rise above common challenges.

Eye on Diversity & Inclusion: Developing Talent & Teams – March 20, 8 – 8:45 AM
In addition to the above women-focused initiatives, Enterprise Connect will offer a new session focused on the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. In this panel, attendees can gain practical advice and lessons learned in relation to institutionalizing diversity to create an inclusive environment within their organizations, while simultaneously delivering on their enterprise communications and collaboration mission. The panel will address important questions including how to create a diverse workforce, the difference between diversity and inclusion, how to get started with a diversity initiative, and more. Attendees will learn about tools to ensure every voice within an organization is heard no matter their gender, race, ethnicity, and physical abilities and will take away key strategies to ensure cohesion among a diverse team.
