Included on the WR-1, BakPak Lite provides integrators the ability to proactively manage a customer’s home network by delivering real-time visibility of network health and remote diagnostics for the wireless router, enabling troubleshooting options to mitigate downtime and reduce the costs of on-site service calls.

“Network stability and performance are fundamental requirements for every connected home – regardless of its size or scope,” said Paul Williams, VP of Product Management, Control4. “The WR-1 with BakPak enables dealers to efficiently deliver this as a standard for all customers. Dealers gain visibility into their entire customer base through one complete cloud-based network management system.”

When the Wi-Fi coverage needs to be increased within the home, the WR-1 can also be expanded with up to two additional wireless access points.

Dealers can use the WR-1 with BakPak to efficiently support a new customer base, without adding monitoring devices to a project or paying additional monthly fees. A single interface provides convenient remote network management from a desktop or smartphone with the ability to run speed tests, check internet connectivity status, and change wireless settings on the WR-1. BakPak Lite enables the remote management for the WR-1 wireless router itself, remote management for the entire network, including home automation products, is available with BakPak on the Pakedge RK-1 Router and NK-1 Wireless Controller.
