“CinemaBarco” comes to ShowEast, demonstrating innovative solutions to engage a new generation of moviegoers

Representing a new paradigm in cinema entertainment, CinemaBarco magically brings every part of the theater to life, delivering visually spectacular and immersive entertainment before, during and after the show to create a one-of-a-kind moviegoing experience. From the lobby, to the auditorium and beyond, exhibitors can use Barco’s collection of disruptive products to outfit their cinemas with innovative, revenue-enhancing solutions that help them grow their business while enhancing audiences’ enjoyment.

A special CinemaBarco engagement awaits
Barco will showcase these unique experiences designed to make the cinema a true destination at the Cinemark Paradise 24 and XD Theatre during ShowEast. As guests enter the venue, they will be greeted by an array of captivating digital signage, followed by demonstrations of Barco’s Auro 11.1 immersive sound solution, as well as an interactive presentation of the latest audience engagement options by partner company Audience Entertainment.

The highlight of this special CinemaBarco engagement is a demonstration of Barco Escape – a new ultra-wide, multi-screen movie format utilizing multiple projectors and screens to create a panoramic viewing experience. The event will feature an exclusive screening of “The Maze Runner,” with new scenes that have been re-imagined into the Barco Escape format, along with other content that will play on the three screens. Last month, Barco worked with 20th Century FOX and director Wes Ball to debut the global hit movie “The Maze Runner” as the first feature film released in the Barco Escape format.

All of these new cinema experiences combine to enable theater owners to deliver a value-added movie experience, providing a strong point of differentiation to capture more of the entertainment dollar.

The event will be held on Wednesday, October 29 from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm at the Cinemark Paradise 24 and XD Theatre in Davie, FL. Visitors can register at this website. Bus transportation from ShowEast to the cinema and back will be provided.

Bill Beck, widely-known as “The Laser Guy” for his work as a photonics entrepreneur for more than three decades, and co-founder/former chairman of the Laser Illuminated Projector Association (LIPA), attempts to answer the question in a ShowEast University presentation on Thursday, October 30 at 8:30 am. Beck joined the Barco team earlier this year to further strengthen its leadership in laser-illuminated projection.

Show me the money
In another presentation, Barco will discuss financial implications of the latest cinema innovations and how to maximize profitability in a talk entitled “Monetizing Your Digital Investment” on Tuesday, October 28 at 8:30 am.

Barco representatives will also be on hand in partner booths and available for meetings throughout ShowEast to discuss laser and xenon projection, immersive video and sound solutions, lobby enchantment opportunities and audience engagement technologies.
