Avaya Video Collaboration Solution Heats Up Video Conferencing for SMEs

infocomm-awards-0713It’s been two weeks since we announced the Avaya Video Collaboration Solution for IP Office at InfoComm 2013, and we’re seeing great traction in the market!  The Video Collaboration Solution offers simple, comprehensive and affordable video collaboration to small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs). The solution integrates with Avaya IP Office, our flagship unified communications solution for the SME market.

Those who have been in the AV and video conferencing business for a while agree that this product will help bring high quality video capabilities to a market segment that previously didn’t have access to enterprise-grade conferencing. As a result, the solution has already received recognition from industry experts like Howard Lichtman, David Maldow and Gary Kayye. What are they saying? Below is a summary.

rAVe InfoComm Top 10 Tour

Avaya was stop number six on this year’s rAVe InfoComm Top 10 Tour. The tour highlights what rAVe editors deem to be the best new solutions introduced around the InfoComm timeframe. The Avaya Video Collaboration Solution was hand-picked from more than 70 entries. According to Gary Kayye, the products chosen for the Top 10 Tour were must-see’s for InfoComm attendees. We were delighted to host Gary and his tour group in our booth on Thursday, June 13.

Telepresence Options Best of Show

The Video Collaboration Solution took home the “Best Deal for SMB Customers” award. David Maldow, associate editor for Telepresence Options, says in the write-up, “The flexibility of the Scopia platform never ceases to amaze me.” (Ed note: Thanks, David – we agree!)

For the full write-up, scroll down about halfway on this page. But don’t stop there – if you scroll to the photos, those of you who know and love Bob Romano, vice president of marketing for Avaya video solutions, will catch a glimpse of him on Howard’s Segway. And our caricature artist (who joined us in the booth via HD video) did a great job capturing Howard’s and David’s three days spent on the show floor.

We’d like to extend our thanks to Gary, David and Howard for taking the time to highlight the Avaya Video Collaboration Solution for IP Office and to all who visited our booth. It was a great show, and we really enjoyed our participation!
