Atlona Unveils AMS Go at CEDIA 2016

atlona-logo-300x51-0813DALLAS, Tex., September 14, 2016 – Atlona, a leading AV connectivity solutions company, today announced AMS Go, a robust enhancement to its Atlona Management System (AMS) that enables integrators to remotely configure, operate, and maintain the company’s IP-controlled components from any location via mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets, as well as desktop browsers.

AMS Go incorporates the popular AMS features for device control, configuration, status monitoring and managing firmware updates, as well as saving, duplicating or recalling configurations. AMS Go is available free from Atlona, and further increases the efficiency of post-installation technical support for integrators and their residential, small business and light commercial clients. At the same time, AMS Go offers an opportunity for integrators to earn recurring revenue through AV monitoring and maintenance services.

AMS Go works in tandem with the AMS cloud server, which actively communicates with compatible Atlona products in real-time over a secure web-based, industry standard protocol. Through its intuitive user interface, designed and optimized for mobile devices, AMS Go enables integrators to quickly access their clients’ sites, systems and individual device settings to manage services through continuous device monitoring, instant alerts and more. AMS Go is accessed via a web browser, which ensures integrators are always using the latest user interface and have access to the newest cloud service features.

“Integrators now have an even more powerful and immediate means to resolve clients’ technical issues as they arise, and proactively notify customers of service needs or firmware updates from any location on-the-fly,” said David Shamir, Director of Product Management at Atlona. “Atlona is the only company to offer remote monitoring and support capabilities at no cost. It offers an invaluable opportunity for integrators to bolster and reinforce relationships with clients as a trusted AV technology solutions partner.”

To set up AMS Go, an integrator or technician activates AMS for device configuration and connection to the AMS cloud server during the on-site installation of Atlona AMS-enabled products. AMS Go is then able to provide off-site or remote access to the client’s compatible Atlona components from mobile devices.

AMS Go is currently compatible with Atlona’s UHD-PRO3 Series HDBaseT matrix switchers. Future updates will add AMS Go functionality to additional Atlona AMS-enabled products.
AMS Go will be available in November.
