$6000? Are you Kidding?

frowny-face-0610Here’s a fact that I’ll bet you didn’t know: every manufacturer who had a dedicated (read: RELIABLE) Internet connection at InfoComm 2010 in Las Vegas paid (at least) $6000! That’s right, $2000 per day!

No, I am not kidding!

First of all, let me be clear: this is, in no way, the fault of InfoComm, their staff, the show management or the InfoComm Board – this was simply a case of the Las Vegas Convention Center SHAFTING, SCREWING, BILKING, FLEECING, SLAMMING and bending over the exhibitors…

And, there was NO ALTERNATIVE. Clear Wireless’ connectivity was 300K at best, Sprint was in the 250-350K range and AT&T was terrible as usual.

So, we HOPE it was worth it!  We shelled out the big bucks on show site to allow for LIVE from InfoComm rAVe NOW Video realtime coverage of the show.
